Regarding ones health outcomes, importance of a good GP consult cannot be overstated. With our in depth consultations we explore everything starting with all of your chronic medical conditions. Often times patients are on medications that interfere with each other, or have side effects that are intolerable for your specific lifestyle. Often you as the patient may not even understand exactly why you are on a certain medication, much less the intricacies of the condition itself. At Fluid Medical we can take time to explore and explain.
Once your health goals are identified we offer many different services. By performing laboratory investigations deficiencies in mineral and vitamins levels are identified and, in a personalised manner, can be supplemented via an IV drip or other ways. One’s weight and weight loss are important to many people, and in the modern world there are many medical options. At Fluid Medical we will explore this complex world of weight los drugs with you. Sometimes you do not want or need to physically visit your GP. You just have a flu and need a sick-note. For this you can book a tele consult, wherein one of our doctors will engage in a video consultation with you. If we deem you may be seriously ill, we will not write you a sick-note, and instead ask you to come in so you can be physically examined. Other times you may want a doctor to come to your house. Say you have a frail family member, or you are hungover at home, you can book a home visit, in the greater Cape Town area. One of our Doctors will come to your house, examine you, and if necessary administer medication IV or otherwise. We also offer a ‘Lumps & Bumps’ surgical clinic wherein small lipomas, skin growths, sebaceous cysts, ingrown toenails are cut out.
In Depth consultation
With aid of exhaustive history taking and laboratory biomarker mapping chronic medications are optimised and conditions ranging from chronic pain to diabetes to depression are managed. For a slight premium price you gain a larger piece of a Doctor’s time. The consultation will not be rushed and all you health goals will be explored.
Weight Control
Using diet, lifestyle, and if suitable medication to gain or lose weight; meet your body goals in healthy, sustainable ways. Also offer subscription service wherein your weightless drugs are sent to your house monthly - only available after consultation.
Teleconsult
For routine GP visits wherein one has a simple flu and only needs some cold medication and sick note book for a 15 minute tele-consult over video call.
Intravenous Treatments
After consulting your needs and blood work, vitamins minerals like iron can be infused intravenously for rapid results. At Fluid Medical we are strictly evidenced based - you will not hear the same claims from us for our IV treatments as with our competitors, we will only make claims can achieve.
Executive House Call
Hungover? Sick but do not want to come to the practice? Book for a doctor to visit you at your house (within greater Cape Town area). Will bring intravenous medications to help you feel better on the spot. Available 24/7, however time slot dependant on schedule of Doctor.
Lumps & Bumps
If you have a mole that is undesirable, ingrown toenail, wart, growth etcetera, we will remove it for you. If we are unable to remove the offending piece of tissue there will be no consultation fee and you will be referred to a Specialist Plastic Surgeon, Dermatologist or Surgeon who can assist.
